Royal Jersey's Tim Allbut took home the Pallot Bowl - the Club's 18 hole Open event - by a single shot from fellow club member Peter Craggs, on Saturday. Tim, playing off a handicap of 12 had a very steady front nine, making the turn in a one over gross 37. He was back in 5 over 41, which included a triple bogey 7 at the 12th.

As reported Peter Craggs was second following a two over gross round of 72 off his five handicap. Third place went to La Moye's Niall Doran with a nett 68.

In the scratch event, the Goodchild Trophy was won by the Royal's Matthew Parkman with a 67 gross. This was Matthew's fourth major victory of the year following his Island, Channel Island Championship and Club Championship. His round included 5 birdies and 2 dropped shots. Runner-up in the scratch event was La Moye's Jeremy Phillips with a 69 gross.

Both trophy winners are pictured with Royal Jersey Captain, Mike Hill.

In other news, the final of the prestigious Lehmann Cup was played yesterday morning between Past Captain Mick Le Feuvre and Junior vice-Captain Tom Jewell. (The format is very unique with the higher handicap starting the game a number of holes up equivalent to half the difference in handicap and thereafter played off scratch). Young Tom started 3 up on the first hole and payed well under his handicap to defeat the experienced Island Senior's Team Captain by 4&3.
